Our nature park guides
Ambassadors of the nature park
You are the Ambassadors of the nature park, have extensive knowledge and tell a lot of interesting facts about the flora, fauna, geology and history of the Kellerwald. They take you on a journey of discovery on every tour or excursion. After each participation, you go home with new insights.
Currently are over 60 nature park guides in the nature park active, including over 20 who also work as national park guides National Park Kellerwald-Edersee are active. In 2023, 20 new guides were trained in the nature park. All nature park guides work on a voluntary basis for the protected areas and receive compensation for their work.
Our nature park guides are “Certified nature and landscape guides“, trained by the Nature Conservation Academy of the State of Hesse according to the BANU (Nationwide Working Group of State-Sponsored Educational Institutions in Nature and Environmental Protection) guidelines.
