Nature park daycare centers

In no other phase of life do people learn as quickly as in the first few years. Especially in the first years of life, children learn more through independent experiences such as touching, tasting and trying things out. Encounters with nature raise many questions: Where does the earthworm live? How does my food get to the plate? Can plants and animals be my friends? Am I part of nature? Due to their natural diversity and their wide range of tasks, nature parks offer an attractive experience and education location for kindergartens.

Nature park daycare centers

Evangelical kindergartens Münden and Immighausen (Lichtenfels)

Initial contact with interested daycare centers in the region was established as early as 2022. Together with the educators and children, environmentally focused projects and activities were implemented, and a concept was developed. Finally, in 2024, two daycare centers from Lichtenfels were officially certified and have since held the title of "Nature Park Daycare Center".

The educational programs are supported by Nature park guide (certified nature and landscape guides) provided and conducted tours on various topics in the vicinity of the daycare center and other locations.

Programs and educational modules

Our programs are tailored to the children's level of knowledge. We are also happy to consider requests from caregivers.

Our educational modules for schools and kindergartens are brand new: The topics were chosen to suit our nature park and from the perspective of “Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)“designed to promote ecological, economic and social skills, enabling children and young people to learn to think and act proactively and sustainably.

Is this also something for the daycare center I work at or run?

Yes! We are happy to provide informational materials and price lists. We are also available to meet with you in person if you are interested, and we can even visit your daycare center to provide information about the project.

How much does it cost for my daycare?

Our nature park guides are volunteers and receive a stipend for their work. Therefore, our programs are subject to a fee; however, we offer discounts as part of the project, allowing us to offer the events at a reasonable price. Price lists are available upon request.
