Nature Park Schools

The nationwide network of nature park schools introduces students to nature parks as diverse learning and experiential environments, raises their awareness of the unique features of their local area, facilitates regional connections to curricula, and provides firsthand experiences of nature and culture in the school's surroundings, thus contributing to education for sustainable development (ESD). And, incidentally, they're also a lot of fun!

Nature Park Schools

Goddelsheim-Eppe Primary School

Together with the Goddelsheim primary school (Lichtenfels), various environmental activities and projects were carried out with the children and teachers over a period of about two years. Through the development of an educational concept, nature and environmental topics eventually became an integral part of everyday school life, and the school was certified as our first nature park school in March 2024.

The educational programs are provided by nature park guides (certified nature and landscape guides) and are conducted on various topics in the vicinity of the school.

Programs and educational modules

Our programs are tailored to the children's level of knowledge. We are also happy to consider requests from teachers.

Our educational modules for schools and kindergartens are brand new: The topics were chosen to suit our nature park and designed according to the principles of " Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) ." Ecological, economic, and social skills are fostered, enabling children and young people to learn to think and act proactively and sustainably.

Is this also something for the school I work at or run?

Yes! We are happy to provide informational materials and price lists. We are also available to meet with interested parties in person and can even visit schools to provide information about the project.

How much does it cost for my class?

Our nature park guides are volunteers and receive a stipend for their work. Therefore, our programs are subject to a fee; however, we offer discounts as part of the project, allowing us to offer the events at a reasonable price. Price lists are available upon request.
