This Route 2 is an extension of Route 1 of the Birkenhof hiking car park. On this route you can also see a juniper heath typical of this region and the desert in the Heckwald near Altenhaina, which is located on a prehistoric mountain path and offers a view of the Haubern district of Frankenberg.
