The approximately 3 kilometer long Route 1 leads over the Schieferkopf into the Wölftetal and back over the Haselnköppl. Gnarled beeches line the path through the narrow, romantic meadow valley of the Wölfte. At the old shepherd's oak, a shelter invites you to take a contemplative rest. It is the well-known Barbarossaweg which follows the stream for a bit. The over 300 kilometer long long-distance hiking trail is named after Emperor Friedrich I and leads past many of his places of work. Installations by the ARSNATURA artist foundation can also be found on Route 1.
