Route 1 leads along the edge of the forest with views over the Gilsa Valley until it dips into the forest at Schönstein, which was formed around the Rommershäuser Ironworks.
The highest point in the south of the nature park is the Wüstegarten with a height of 675 meters. Surrounded by vast deciduous forests, it marks the “Hohen Keller”. Route 1 leads along the edge of the forest with views over the Gilsa Valley until it dips into the forest at Schönstein, which was formed around the Rommershäuser Ironworks. After a climb, we go parallel to the slope through the forest back to the Kellerhute.
