The approximately 7 kilometer long Route 1 leads through the Orketal at the foot of the Lichtenfels Castle around the Eulenkopf. Rising at an altitude of 646m, the Orke carries meltwater from the Westphalian Hochsauerland to Hesse. The natural river that flows into the Eder winds its way through the deep meadow valley. Its constant rustling accompanies the hike and invites you to pause for contemplation. Finally we go back through the forest at Eulenkopf.
