The 5,7 km long Spicke circular trail 1 starts at the Spicke hiking car park and takes you through the idyllic Kesselbach valley, around the Mühlenberg.
The path begins as a nature trail and narrows in places to an idyllic path directly along the Kesselbach. The constant babbling of the stream accompanies you, while you keep getting glimpses of the picturesque Kesselbach valley with its wide meadows. After about half the route, the landscape opens up and you can take a look into the Wildetal.
The trail continues through the forest on a paved path around the Mühlenberg. Shortly before the end of the hike you have a wonderful view of the tranquil half-timbered village of Kleinern and the mountains of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.
At the starting point you will find the Spicke natural playground and a public toilet.
