Route 1 leads uphill from the starting point to the leak pot. Past historical borders, the path follows the Kellerwaldsteig to the crossroads at the “Schnitzer Eiche” natural monument. Here the Kellerwaldsteig turns off and the route continues towards Wenzigerode. Along the way, works of art from ARS NATURA represent the dialogue between nature and art. The route goes back along the edge of the forest with a view to the church in Wenzigerode.
