Route 2 follows the Arche adventure trail up the Mittelberg. Old breeds of domestic animals graze extensive grasslands here. The route goes up past the Aspen meadow, which was probably never fertilized and impresses with rare plants from a historical cultural landscape. A mountain landscape with juniper heaths characterizes the hilltop. Barren, stony soil explains the rare sight of broken fields next to the information pavilion.
