Hiking on the Kellerwaldsteig trail is now even more fun with our hiking pass! The perfect addition to your hike.
Visit all the hiking pass stations, punch your pass, and if you like, you can also find a geocache at each station. A reward awaits you!
Along the 164 km long Kellerwaldsteig trail, we have set up ten stations where you can have a picture punched out of your hiking passport. Once the hiking passport looks like Swiss cheese, meaning all stations have been visited, it can be exchanged for a unique souvenir. Kellerwaldsteig hiking coin be exchanged!
For geocaching fans
The idea for a geocach-based hiking pass came from the local geocaching group. WildungerRangerTogether, they refined the implementation: In addition to an attractive offering for hikers, geocachers should of course not be neglected. Thus, alongside the punchers, also Logbooks housed in stations that can be used by geocachers.
In addition, a hiking coin with a tracking code is available upon request instead of the regular hiking coin. Trackables are very popular with geocachers because they are passed on and can be tracked online via the code.
That's how it works
You can get the hiking pass as a flyer directly from our office and at tourist information centers. Alternatively, you can download and print it yourself here.
You then visit the stations marked on the map. These consist of the wooden boxes shown above, which are usually attached to signposts directly on the path. Each punch has a different motif - so there's no cheating!
Once you've visited each station, you can exchange your hiking pass either in person at our office or at the locations listed below. Alternatively, you can send your pass to us by mail or email. Don't forget to include your address and let us know if you need the hiking coin with a tracking code.
