The Urwaldsteig leads you over a length of 66 kilometers through the beech forests and areas of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.

You will discover old beech and oak stands with gnarled, bizarre growth forms and hike along the Edersee steep slopes.

The Urwaldsteig was awarded the Hiking Germany Quality Trail! This means it meets a number of criteria set by the German Hiking Association.
